Carnegie Mellon University Colony
alpha Kappa Delta Phi
Our National History
alpha Kappa Delta Phi was established at the University of California at Berkeley in the fall of 1989 when a group of women wanted to provide Asian American college women the opportunity to participate in Greek life. The sisterhood grew, and now spans 52 university campuses across the country, with chapters in Canada as well.
Our Chapter History
alpha Kappa Delta Phi first came to Carnegie Mellon University in the fall of 2002 as an interest group. Our chapter was chartered as a colony on November 15, 2003. Since then, the sisterhood here has grown to encompass more than 100 women!
With goals of sisterhood, leadership, scholarship, service, and Asian American Awareness, we are active on campus and in the greater Pittsburgh community, from fundraisers and academic workshops to social and cultural events.
